Solar Gate approved devices

Choose the exact model and connection route before sale or site commissioning.

The devices below have manufacturer-documented interfaces, so Solar Gate accepts them as pilot targets. Approval does not mean universal plug-and-play or completed production validation; every project still requires model, firmware, network and telemetry acceptance.

What approval means

Official interface first, field acceptance before Production.

A device enters the pilot catalogue when the manufacturer documents an API, Modbus, SunSpec or third-party server route. Solar Gate uses the phrase Production verified only after a real customer-site acceptance covering units, directions and alarms.

Direct third-party push

The named Smart Dongles officially support a third-party management system and can be configured with a server, port and TLS setting.

Local REST / Modbus

Fronius publishes an open REST JSON API and Modbus interfaces for reading power, voltage, current and connected component data.

Solis documents direct inverter-data reading from the S2-WL-ST logger through Modbus TCP.

Important limitation

The official guide warns that enabling TCP/IP disconnects this logger from SolisCloud; confirm the selected operating mode with the customer.

Victron GX devices expose documented Modbus TCP services and allow the access permission to be restricted to read-only.

MQTT and Modbus are LAN services; secure network segmentation is required and write access must remain disabled.

SMA documents a Modbus TCP server for external SCADA access and standardized SunSpec Modbus profiles on the EDMM-20.
